Actor Charlie Sheen, already reportedly the most well-paid prime time actor, wants a substantial raise from his bosses at the CBS hit TWO AND A HALF MEN.
EOnline reports that Sheen is asking for $2 Million per episode if he extends his contract by another season or so. This negotiation process is a normal part of the biz, but $2 Million per show? Wow. That is a lot of money, considering that a season might be up to 18 to 20 episodes: that’s a gross salary of $40 million or so, if he gets it. One source says Sheen expects to wind up with $1.2-$1.3 million per episode once the negotiation is done.
If negotiations don’t pan out, do you think anyone else could step in to the role of womanizer Charlie Harper? Would you watch the show if it became One and a Half Men?
Your LIVE 5 INSIDER suspects that your answer is likely “No,” and that Sheen does as well. Based on previously-published reports of his salary, what he’s asking for would amount to nearly a 100% raise, effectively doubling his current deal.
So suppose you were the powers that be at the show: what would your answer be? Would you “show him the money?” Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
