A Bird? A Plane? Nope…a Reindeer!

An annual Christmas favorite hits the air tonight on LIVE 5 WCSC. RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER airs tonight at 8pm.

Narrated by the late Burl Ives, the stop-motion animated tale of the reluctant reindeer first aired on NBC in December of 1964. It has been a staple of CBS’s holiday calendar since 1972, and in 2005, the show was digitally-remastered in HD.

The show won’t be airing in widescreen, but viewers will still notice a difference in the image quality from the pre-2005 version.

RUDOLPH is television’s longest-running Christmas special, and this year marks the 45th annual showing.

Be sure not to miss it: it’s a great treat for kids of all ages!
